Job Title: Registered Nurse

SCADD Inc. is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing oversight to clients seeking medically monitored withdrawal services at our New London Withdrawal Management facility.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing initial nursing assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and providing direct physical care measures as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health/substance abuse and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial nursing assessments and document ongoing assessments of clients
  • Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to age and specific needs of clients
  • Provide direct physical care measures as needed
  • Act as a primary nurse working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment
  • Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician
  • Educate the client and family toward an understanding of health and illness and the plans for post-discharge care
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients
  • Run client recovery groups
Requirements:
  • Current State of Connecticut - Department of Public Health Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • CPR certification
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience in behavioral health/substance abuse field preferred
