Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of practical configuration experience across Sales, including Accounts, Contacts, Lead, and Opportunity Management.

3+ years utilizing standard declarative tools such as Flows, approval processes, and Process Builders.

Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce sandbox management, including refreshes and seeding.

Familiarity with Service and/or Marketing clouds.

Knowledge of Lightning components, Apex, Visualforce, and APIs.

Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, or SAFe, particularly in continuous release processes (CI/CD) is advantageous.

Job Summary

Facilitate requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and documentation activities for packaged software applications.

Collaborate under the guidance of a manager or supervisor as part of a team to deliver extensive business solutions or enhancement projects.

Responsible for configuring solutions for entire business functions or processes.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities


Collect detailed requirements from business users for comprehensive business processes and/or functions on approved projects and enhancements to existing projects using organization-specific business analysis techniques.

Conduct design and development for entire business processes and/or functions on approved projects and enhancements to existing projects.

Execute program configuration/modification and setup activities using organization-specific methodologies.

Identify impacts to business stemming from newly configured or enhanced business functionalities.

Implement integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) with business clients.

Prepare System Requirement Documents, functional specifications, and test and user documentation.

Keep the Project Manager or Lead Functional Configurators updated on daily activities and statuses.

Nature and Scope

Recognize key barriers/core problems and apply problem-solving skills to creatively address complex situations. Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues. Make decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that yield effective outcomes.

Independently carry out assignments with guidance limited to expected results. Determine and develop approaches to solutions. Seek technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.


May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.

Contribute to the professional development of employees but do not possess hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

Typically situated in a comfortable indoor setting. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most time is spent seated in a comfortable position, with frequent opportunities to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light items.

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.

Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA with generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Certification is required in certain areas.
