Role Overview:
The Salesforce Billing Architect is responsible for leading the gathering of business requirements and managing the comprehensive solution design process. This role involves close collaboration with clients to develop a tailored technical and functional Salesforce Billing solution that aligns with their business needs. Additionally, the architect plays a crucial role in pre-sales activities, assisting commercial teams in showcasing the advantages and limitations of the Salesforce Billing platform during client engagements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Possess extensive knowledge of the quote-to-cash process, Salesforce Billing, and financial back-office systems including GL, AR, and invoicing.
- Act as a thought leader within the Revenue Cloud practice.
- Ensure that solutions are in alignment with the established Roadmap and Blueprints for each relevant domain.
- Lead project teams throughout the design phase across various projects and programs.
- Effectively translate visualized objectives into actionable workstreams.
- Convert business goals into technical and functional requirements to outline the quote-to-cash process.
- Create visualized solutions utilizing Salesforce Billing to finalize the design phase in preparation for development.
- Provide pre-sales support to attract new clients and facilitate scoping activities and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
- Guide, mentor, and educate on consulting best practices for implementing Salesforce Billing while executing the company's implementation methodology.
- Develop business requirements documentation that includes process flow diagrams and use case definitions.
- Conduct solution design activities such as object modeling, data mapping, page layout design, and rule logic definitions.
- Oversee Salesforce Billing testing and validation efforts to ensure that configurations and developments meet business requirements and solution designs.
- Engage with the Salesforce community to promote collaboration, learning, and mutual professional development.
