Job Title: Technical Service Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Service Manager to lead our IT support team at the OUWB School of Medicine. The successful candidate will coordinate IT services, hire and manage help desk technicians, and monitor the effectiveness of help desk services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT support team in providing hardware, software, and learning space support for the OUWB School of Medicine
  • Coordinate efforts related to technology procurement and strategic planning with the Director, School of Medicine Information Technology, Dean's Office, and other Department Heads
  • Coordinate and plan support for School of Medicine electronic devices across multiple buildings and campuses
  • Coordinate efforts with University Technology Services, particularly in the area of device security and management
  • Supervise help desk technicians and student employees to ensure timely and accurate end-user support

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT support, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Proven leadership ability to manage a team of IT support staff
  • Experience with hardware software and project procurement process and vendor relationships including RFP process through and including project implementation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to document departmental processes and detailed procedure instructions for end-users

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
