Position: Aircraft On-Site Heavy Maintenance Representative

Purpose: The role involves overseeing the execution of heavy maintenance checks and induction activities at designated maintenance facilities. This includes assisting the maintenance provider in overcoming challenges related to materials and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact between Avelo and the on-site Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team, ensuring compliance with specified work packages during aircraft overhauls.
  • Work closely with maintenance facility leadership to meet targeted completion dates for heavy maintenance checks and induction tasks, in alignment with Avelo's operational timelines.
  • Coordinate FAA conformity inspections by completing internal checklists and ensuring aircraft readiness for necessary regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the TechOps team, third-party record managers, and maintenance providers to address aircraft condition issues and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Oversee project execution, manage information flow, and coordinate interactions across departments to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Adopt a proactive customer service approach in all activities, reflecting Avelo's commitment to service excellence for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Avelo at on-site heavy maintenance providers, overseeing and guiding the aircraft induction process during varying operational demands.

Overall Objectives:

  • The Technical Representative must effectively manage project execution, monitor and manage information, and balance multiple priorities while working under pressure to meet established deadlines and objectives.
  • Proactively engage in customer service activities that exemplify Avelo's commitment to service excellence for both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in aircraft heavy maintenance oversight or a related technical field, with a strong understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with a proven ability to execute projects and meet strict timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic thinker capable of problem-solving and making independent decisions while adhering to established protocols.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency in aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Must possess a valid US Passport and Driver's License.

X-Factors:

  • Familiarity with Boeing Systems Fam courses is preferred.
