Role Purpose: The Heavy Maintenance Liaison is accountable for supervising the execution of significant maintenance checks and induction processes at designated repair facilities. This role is crucial in assisting the maintenance provider in overcoming challenges related to materials and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact between Avelo Airlines and the on-site Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team, ensuring compliance with defined work packages during aircraft refurbishment.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance facility management to meet targeted timelines for heavy maintenance inspections and induction tasks, in alignment with Avelo's operational requirements.
- Facilitate FAA conformity evaluations by completing necessary internal documentation and ensuring aircraft readiness for required regulatory inspections.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Technical Operations team, third-party record managers, and maintenance service providers to address aircraft condition concerns and ensure precise record maintenance.
- Oversee project execution, manage information flow, and coordinate cross-departmental interactions to prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines, and achieve project goals under pressure.
- Adopt a proactive customer service mindset in all activities, reflecting Avelo's dedication to service excellence for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Represent Avelo at on-site heavy maintenance facilities, supervising and directing the aircraft induction process amid varying operational demands.
Overall Objectives:
- The Technical Representative must effectively manage project execution, monitor and manage information, and balance multiple priorities while working under pressure to meet established deadlines and objectives.
- Proactively engage in customer service initiatives that embody Avelo's service philosophy for both internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft heavy maintenance oversight or a related technical field, with a solid understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures preferred.
- Demonstrated success in project management, showcasing the ability to execute projects, follow up effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic thinker capable of independent problem-solving and decision-making while adhering to established protocols.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency in aircraft maintenance activities.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
- Must possess a valid US Passport and Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Boeing Systems Family courses is preferred.
