As a Maitre'd, your primary responsibility will be to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, leading by example and focusing on enhancing both the financial performance and the ambiance of the restaurant. You will oversee our Partner's Lists, Guest Lists, and Reservations Lists, ensuring that seating arrangements are optimized for comfort while elevating the overall guest experience through exemplary service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, whether they are visiting in person or contacting us by phone.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates while striving to accommodate all guest requests.
- Serve as a crucial link between guests, management, service personnel, and the kitchen, facilitating effective communication.
- Operate with efficiency and urgency while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of reservation strategies and possess a working knowledge of SevenRooms functionalities.
- Collaborate with management to optimize reservations and increase guest counts, balancing business needs with guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maitre D role within a fine dining context.
- A genuine passion for guest service and hospitality.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capability to reach, bend, stoop, and navigate stairs while carrying multiple items.
