Android Software Development Manager

Kohler Ventures is seeking an experienced Android Software Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mobile architecture that can scale with the business growth of Kohler Ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams to design and develop mobile architecture.
  • Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.
  • Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.
  • Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebase.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a CS/engineering or related technical discipline from a reputed academic institution. Masters preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software design and development for Android platform.
  • Use Kotlin, Java, RxJava, Dagger, and other great tools to build smooth, stable, and fun products.
  • Solid understanding of architecture patterns, namely MVVM and MVI.
  • Minimal travel as needed.
  • Availability to work outside of their normal business hours to collaborate with teams and vendors located across multiple time zones.
