At Approach Venture, we're on a mission to revolutionize the space industry by leveraging advanced robotics technology. As a Business Development Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of space exploration by driving sales for high-value hardware products and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales for high-value hardware products, focusing on solutions for space and advanced robotics applications.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategies with product development and market needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals that align with company goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in selling hardware products or components.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of securing contracts over $1M in value.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in working with tech startups, ideally in industries focused on deep technology or space innovation.
  • A technical background with the ability to understand and communicate the intricacies of advanced technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in working with government agencies (e.g., NASA, DoD) or lobbying for high-value contracts within regulatory frameworks.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance

Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 / year
