Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler System Inspector IV to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of sprinkler systems to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with NFPA and State of Department of Health regulations.
  • Perform testing and maintenance/repair of sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Document findings and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve system efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET Level II certification required.
  • Three years of field experience with Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems required.
  • Functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems required.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
  • Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug, and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes a plus.
