The Senior Corporate Banking Relationship Executive is responsible for optimizing the bank's share of wallet and enhancing product engagement. This role focuses on promoting and cross-selling a range of financial products and services to nurture, sustain, and expand client relationships, thereby driving bank revenues and uncovering new business prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in promoting and cross-selling diverse financial products and services through various channels, including phone outreach, mail campaigns, and in-person meetings, with the aim of servicing, maintaining, and cultivating new client relationships while enhancing the bank's deposit and loan portfolios.
  • Deliver tailored service to all banking clients to enhance customer satisfaction, attract new clientele, and elevate the presence of Amerant Bank in the financial market.
  • Understand and increase the share of wallet for each client to ensure retention and engagement, thereby maximizing their lifetime value.
  • Establish and nurture Corporate Banking relationships with businesses within their local communities.
  • Provide comprehensive financial solutions to meet the commercial needs of businesses, fostering new and existing deposit and loan relationships to achieve production targets for the designated region.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of credit and underwriting standards in alignment with the bank's credit policy guidelines. Assess, monitor, analyze, and manage the overall quality of the existing credit portfolio, including associated depository relationships and their activities; develop strategies to meet customer needs while ensuring sustainable growth of relationships.
  • Recommend approvals for lines of credit, owner-occupied real estate, term loans, and other related credit products.
  • Present to the Loan Committee as necessary for the approval of commercial credit transactions.
  • Authorize loans and other banking transactions within the defined lending authority.
  • Evaluate and manage customer overdraft and uncollected funds transactions, adhering to approval limit guidelines to accommodate and serve clients in a financially responsible manner, minimizing risk exposure to the bank.
  • Review account activities to identify, assess, monitor, and recommend actions to the Business Manager to mitigate any current or potential risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of BSA, laws, regulations, internal policies, or ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and parameters, maintaining an acceptable level of exposure and risk concerning BSA.
  • Represent Amerant Bank in various community and economic development initiatives, including participation in business chambers and community associations.

Minimum Education and Certifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, along with formal credit training.

Minimum Work Experience:
A minimum of seven years of experience in Corporate or Middle Market banking, focusing on business development and managing diverse lending relationships.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated experience in commercial lending and credit analysis, including financial statement analysis and loan documentation review.
Proven success in sales and business development.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solid understanding of commercial banking products and services.
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledgeable about operational and credit guidelines, BSA, and other banking regulations.
