Position Overview:

The role involves providing leadership and support to all store team members, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and hospitality. The position requires fostering a welcoming environment and promoting the company's core values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arriving for scheduled shifts punctually and regularly, with the ability to communicate effectively and perform tasks safely.

  • Managing grocery department inventory and merchandising to maintain quality standards.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Empowering team members to utilize customer appreciation initiatives.
  • Securing the store and assuming managerial duties in the absence of senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and operational procedures.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to inventory and cash management.
  • Participating in safety initiatives to minimize workplace hazards.

Supervisory Duties:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities, such as:

  • Supporting the management of store associates in the absence of senior management.
  • Training and directing team members, addressing performance issues, and resolving conflicts.
  • Exhibiting strong leadership and communication skills in managing associate relations.
  • Implementing and enforcing company policies effectively.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED; or at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong language skills for effective communication with team members and customers.
  • Mathematical skills for managing operational profitability.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address various operational challenges.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Certifications:

Required certifications include:

  • First Aid Certification (provided by the company)
  • Valid Driver's License or State ID
  • Valid Food Handler's Card

Physical Requirements:

This position requires physical stamina, including:

  • Standing for extended periods, walking, and performing various physical tasks.
  • Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to various conditions, including moderate noise levels and occasional outdoor weather.
