Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment, with a strong focus on ensuring optimal performance of automated production systems.

The Automation Specialist's role will involve:

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated machinery and control systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control components.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements and upgrades.
  • Calibrate and adjust automation systems to meet operational specifications.
  • Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on automated equipment.

The Automation Specialist will ideally have the following attributes:

  • 3+ years of experience in automation or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in automated equipment.
  • Experience with HMI systems, robotics, and other automation technologies.
  • Installation and commissioning of I/O within new manufacturing facilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
