JOB SUMMARY
Position Title: Client Support Specialist
Program: WIC Health and Nutrition Impact Team
Classification: Permanent/Full-Time/Hourly
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Call Center Operations
- Manage incoming calls through a multi-line phone system and address all voicemail inquiries
- Coordinate participant appointments across various clinics
- Handle online applications and referrals from community partners
- Connect clients with community resources
Reception Duties
- Welcome clients arriving for appointments and facilitate the check-in process
- Distribute electronic benefits to participants
- Maintain expertise in breastfeeding education and foster a breastfeeding-friendly atmosphere in all clinics
Eligibility Assessment
- Verify adjunct eligibility using the statewide database
- Assess household income to determine program eligibility
Laboratory Responsibilities
- Conduct anthropometric and hematological measurements following standard procedures
- Adhere to universal precautions and comply with all OSHA regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including flexible clinic assignments
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Previous experience in WIC programs is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous
- Strong word processing and computer skills are essential
- A commitment to fostering a trauma-informed, empowering culture that values diversity
