This role is responsible for ensuring that all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while maintaining customer specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and developing employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to effectively utilize departmental policies and procedures.
- Manage employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback.
- Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and employee involvement.
- Investigate areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance.
- Promote safety throughout the area where the crew is working.
- 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience.
- Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
- Previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees.
- Effective communication both orally and in writing.
- Capable of independent decision making.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in a related field preferred.
