Division Overview
Crown's Beverage Division specializes in manufacturing a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas, as well as new energy drinks. We lead the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world views beverage cans. Our aluminum cans feature a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes, and decorating options, making them the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager and Plant Superintendent to ensure the production of a high-quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise activities of equipment and personnel throughout the facility, focusing on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Spoilage.
- Communicate all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems, or any other related information.
- Work with employees to identify, discuss solutions, and implement fixes on machinery and equipment problems.
- Perform and facilitate on-the-job training and/or coaching of all employees as needed or required.
- Apply knowledge of various processes, production methods, and processes to improve plant production.
- Manage machinery setup and adjustment and inspect products to ensure compliance to standards.
- Oversee quality and recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the equipment limits.
- Complete and/or administer necessary documentation, such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, job progressions, disciplinary actions, monthly SAFE cards, time and attendance, accident reports, and process control sheets.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED
- Five to seven years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- At least three years of proven supervisory experience
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Packaging industry experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing

- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Effective leadership skills, including conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc.
- Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate people
- Excellent time management and project management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
