The Opportunity
This role is situated within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, where we are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with diabetes. As a leader in diabetes management, Abbott is committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional support to our clients.

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will oversee procurement and supply chain management for indirect categories. Your collaboration with key stakeholders across Abbott’s corporate and divisional teams will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a vision and strategy for the indirect procurement function, ensuring the implementation of best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner.
  • Analyze projects to enhance supply resilience and optimize costs across various indirect categories.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement while monitoring team performance.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in supplier management and knowledge of market dynamics.
