Job Title: Eligibility Worker I/Floater

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eligibility Worker I/Floater to join our team at Health Advocates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for qualifying patients for governmental benefits, including Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI, and TPL.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct telephone or bedside screenings to determine patient eligibility for benefits
  • Complete and submit applications to county offices
  • Follow up with patients and county workers to ensure successful case completion
  • Update information in hospital computer database
  • Participate in weekly hospital meetings to provide case updates
Requirements:
  • Valid California driver's license and clean DMV record
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in customer service and/or office experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • One year of Medi-Cal experience helpful
