Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Home Health Visits

Physicians Choice Home Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Home Healthcare Team. As a COTA, you will be responsible for providing quality home health visits to our patients in the comfort of their own homes. You will be part of a team of compassionate and dedicated healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional care to our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the ongoing evaluation of patients' functional status, as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
  • Assist in teaching new skills or retraining patients in daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports any changes in patients' conditions to the registered occupational therapist.
  • Follow treatment programs and goals for improved patient function, as established by the registered occupational therapist.
  • Communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in patients' care to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.

Salary Range:

Physicians Choice Home Health currently pays COTAs $40-$50/visit, and $25/hour for in-services, trainings, and orientations. Per visit mileage reimbursement is offered for W2 employees.
