At Healthcare Services Group, Inc., we are dedicated to providing exceptional nutrition services to our clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nutrition Services Professional - Dietary Cook to join our team.

Job Summary

The Nutrition Services Professional - Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food to our clients, including texture modified and therapeutic diets. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  2. Assist in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
  3. Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
  4. Report equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  5. Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
  6. Punctually arrive and complete assigned cleaning area according to schedule, and respond to the paging system in a timely manner.
  7. Positively represent Healthcare Services Group, Inc. by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
  8. Interact with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive, pleasant, and tactful manner.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  2. Utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
  3. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and experience in food preparation is highly desirable.
  4. Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
  5. Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  6. Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously, and work around food and cleaning products.
  7. Must be able to live in the service area.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on location and experience. Healthcare Services Group, Inc. offers a comprehensive array of benefits to support our associates and their families' health and well-being.
