Key Responsibilities

As an Automation Controls Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct investigations, trials, and enhancements in manufacturing processes.
  • Create and adapt customizable software for automated manufacturing technologies.
  • Provide support for existing software applications and PLC programs.
  • Lead projects focused on software development and IT infrastructure implementations.
  • Identify and resolve quality challenges related to automated assembly technology.
  • Mentor skilled associates in proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including the development of qualification cards and training materials.
  • Identify and spearhead projects aimed at improving safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to achieve Policy Deployment objectives.
  • Actively engage in daily management of your area using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and continuously enhance performance.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Control Engineering) with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
  • Programming proficiency in object-oriented languages and web technologies (including PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/Javascript).
  • A solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle) and IT concepts (VMs, networking).
  • Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies, such as robots, automated axis systems, press/torque technology, vision systems, and feeding systems.
  • Preferred experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and data analytics tools (PowerBI, Azure, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing systems and concepts.
  • Strong project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience in utilizing problem-solving techniques to address complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Willingness to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities.
