Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of nursing personnel, ensuring effective leadership and guidance.
  • Participate in QA/PI projects to meet regulatory compliance, following facility infection control policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the scheduling process, adjusting schedules to meet hospital needs.
  • Provide fair and consistent leadership to all departments.
  • Convey QI, risk, and safety concerns to the Director of the department and quality department.
  • Complete variance reports or statements of concern in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Individualized Patient Care, verifying whiteboards and other patient satisfaction criteria.
  • Notify staff of emergency call-in situations.
  • Operate within established hospital procedures in emergencies, using the hospital's emergency plan, HICs, and NIMS when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with co-workers, promoting teamwork.
  • Act as a resource to solve problems and as an ambassador for the health center.

Requirements:

  • Associates and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Two to three years previous management experience preferred, with a minimum of three years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Iowa RN License and current BCLS required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Two open positions available, one for 7am-7pm and one for 7pm-7am.
  • Salary range: $63K-$84K.
  • Full benefit package offered, including up to a 25K sign-on bonus.
