Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents in post-acute facilities, including measuring and monitoring vital signs, reporting to your supervisor as necessary.
  • Be accountable for following and adhering to resident care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the best possible care.
  • Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting, and provide a compassionate ear to residents and offer much-valued companionship.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, keep residents' rooms clean, change linens, and help ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Serve as a conduit between medical staff and residents, and communicate with visitors, providing a warm and welcoming presence.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Current Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures.
  • Strong observational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals and residents.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
