Acerca del Rol de Educador de Apoyo en el Aula
El puesto de Educador de Apoyo en el Aula es un rol de un año que apoya la instrucción en el aula al proporcionar cobertura de clase cuando los docentes están ausentes y asistiendo al docente principal con la instrucción y la gestión del aula cuando no se requiere cobertura.
Este puesto se extiende hasta el final del año escolar. Al finalizar el año escolar, los Educadores de Apoyo en el Aula pueden ser entrevistados para o recibir ofertas para el rol de Residente de Enseñanza Capital, Docente Principal, o algún otro rol en su escuela o en otra escuela de KIPP DC. Dado que el rol de Educador de Apoyo en el Aula es un puesto de un año, no se garantiza una posición para el siguiente año escolar. Este rol es un puesto exento y reportará al director de la escuela asignada.
Como Educador de Apoyo en el Aula, usted:
- Servirá como sustituto en un aula cuando un docente esté ausente, entregando lecciones internalizadas y manteniendo una cultura de aula positiva.
- Asistirá a los docentes principales con la instrucción, la cultura del aula y tareas administrativas cuando no se requiera sustitución.
- Construirá relaciones de confianza con estudiantes, familias y colegas.
- Implementará políticas de cultura estudiantil en toda la escuela dentro de las aulas y en todos los espacios del campus.
- Realizará observaciones intencionadas de docentes principales excelentes.
- Participará en reuniones regulares con docentes y líderes, reuniones de nivel de grado y desarrollo profesional a nivel de red.
- Asumirá responsabilidades adicionales en toda la escuela según sea necesario.
- Mientras los estudiantes reciben instrucción de 8:00 am a 3:30 pm, los docentes de KIPP DC están de servicio en la escuela de lunes a viernes desde las 7:30 am hasta las 5:00 pm dos veces a la semana, y de 7:30 am a 4:00 pm tres veces a la semana.
Calificaciones
- Título universitario de una institución acreditada, se aceptan todas las especialidades (Preferido).
- Haber completado 60 horas de crédito universitario o más en lugar de un título conferido (Requerido).
- Experiencia trabajando con estudiantes de PreK a 12° grado (Preferido).

Compensación y Beneficios:
Los Educadores de Apoyo en el Aula recibirán un salario anual de $45,000 y un paquete de beneficios competitivo.
- En KIPP DC, nos esforzamos por la claridad, la equidad y ser altamente competitivos en cuanto a compensación. Después del año como Educador de Apoyo en el Aula, estos pueden ser entrevistados o solicitados para convertirse en Residentes de Enseñanza Capital ($52,000), Docentes Principales (a partir de $65,500), o algún otro rol en su escuela o en otra escuela de KIPP DC. Dado que el rol de Educador de Apoyo en el Aula es un puesto de un año, no se garantiza una posición para el siguiente año escolar.
- KIPP DC ofrece un paquete de beneficios robusto que incluye seguros médicos, dentales y de visión; varios beneficios voluntarios; y beneficios pagados por el empleador como discapacidad a corto plazo, discapacidad a largo plazo, seguro de vida y una membresía a One Medical.
- KIPP DC también ofrece una cuenta de jubilación 403(b) con una contribución del empleador del 3% y un 3% de coincidencia con derecho a la propiedad después de tres años.
- Actualmente, los individuos en este rol tienen hasta 10 días de enfermedad pagados, 12 días festivos pagados, descanso pagado durante la semana de Acción de Gracias, vacaciones de invierno, vacaciones de primavera y vacaciones de verano. Esto está sujeto a cambios y su horario exacto se compartirá en su carta de oferta.
