About the Role

The District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dedicated Aide to join our team. As a Dedicated Aide, you will provide individualized support to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the accommodations and services they need to succeed in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, and physical prompting.
  • Provide orientation and mobility support to students.
  • Collect data on student academic and behavioral concerns.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support students with the use of assistive technology and other accommodations.
  • Accompany students in the classroom and during activities.
  • Reinforce educational concepts and support students in achieving their IEP goals.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 48 college credit hours.
  • Successful background and drug clearance.
  • Previous experience in the education sector is a plus.
