The Overnight Resident Monitor is responsible for ensuring the well-being of clients in interim housing. This role encompasses client support, service coordination, and the implementation of safety protocols within the facility. Key duties include:
- Providing light case management and developing tailored housing service plans.
- Coordinating essential services to aid clients in achieving stability in permanent housing.
- Traveling between various locations to assist case managers and housing navigators.
- Participating in required meetings and training sessions, with some evening and weekend availability.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates should possess an Associate degree in Social Services or a related discipline, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in HMIS and Microsoft applications is essential, along with the ability to maintain accurate documentation. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to being drug and alcohol-free for a minimum of three years if in recovery. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse clientele are required. A valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation are mandatory. A background check and TB test will be conducted, and CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
This position involves various physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, driving, and carrying items up to 25 lbs. The role also requires effective listening and communication skills. Candidates must be able to manage frequent distractions, interruptions, and shifting priorities while processing information efficiently.
