Position Summary

As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Vice President of Regional Operations to oversee our banking branches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leadership and Oversight - Provide robust leadership, direction, and support to Business Development Managers and their teams within the designated region.
  • Strategic Development - Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for the region to meet financial objectives, enhance market presence, and drive business expansion.
  • Performance Evaluation - Assess branch performance metrics such as deposit growth, small business loan origination, customer satisfaction, and adherence to banking policies and procedures.
  • Client Relationship Management - Cultivate a customer-focused culture, prioritizing exceptional service, and address escalated client concerns.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure that all branches comply with banking regulations, policies, and procedures while effectively managing risk.
  • Business Growth - Identify avenues for market expansion, client acquisition, and cross-selling of banking products and services.
  • Market Research - Stay updated on local economic conditions, competitor activities, and market trends to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Reporting - Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding regional performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Staff Management and Succession Planning - Oversee staffing levels, manage personnel matters, and plan for succession within the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking sector, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and growth objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to Business Development Managers and staff within the region.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Monitor and analyze branch performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture that emphasizes client satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor branch personnel to enhance their skills and performance, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in their roles.
  • Provide strong leadership to staff within the region, establishing clear objectives and promoting a collaborative and motivated team environment.
  • Manage budgets, control expenses, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Resolve complex client issues and inquiries escalated from branches.
  • Establish strong relationships with local businesses and community leaders to drive business development initiatives.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Manage staffing levels in the region, ensuring branches are adequately staffed.
