About the Role

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, providing education to parents on the importance of the screen.
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results accurately.
  • Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff.
  • Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, and document results.
  • Follow hospital and company protocols for security, identification, and infection control.
  • Recognize potential problems and seek assistance when necessary.
Requirements
  • Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
