International Relations Officer

As a Lead International Relations Officer within the Bureau of International Labor Affairs, the incumbent will serve as a key liaison between the organization and international stakeholders, ensuring the effective implementation of the organization's strategic plan and mission.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate work goals, deadlines, and expectations to staff both orally and in writing.
- Develop and coordinate the development of reports, analytical papers, policy position papers, talking points, and briefing materials regarding child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking.
- Represent official positions pertaining to policies or programs.
- Manage program resources with minimal guidance.
- Manage or lead a team on deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of international employment and labor issues in the private or public sector, with a strong understanding of federal government laws and international standards that govern child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking issues.
A bachelor's degree in international law and international relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, social or cultural anthropology, law, statistics, or in the humanities is required. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience in one or more of the social sciences or humanities, as well as relevant work experience, may be considered.
The position requires a strong understanding of the organization's mission and goals, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
