Reporting To: Operations Supervisor
Position SummaryEcology Auto Parts, Inc. is a leading and environmentally responsible automotive recycling organization dedicated to sustainable practices within the automotive sector. We are in search of a skilled End Dump Truck Driver possessing a HAZMAT endorsement. In this role, you will be essential in the transportation of automotive materials and recyclable goods between our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate an end dump truck safely and efficiently, complying with all traffic laws.
- Transport a variety of automotive materials and recyclable items between facilities.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, performing routine inspections.
- Follow all safety regulations related to hazardous materials as per company and DOT guidelines.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with logistics personnel to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Commit to safety and environmental responsibility in all aspects of the job.
- Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial driving, particularly with hazardous materials.
- Clean driving record with no significant violations in the last five years.
- Thorough understanding of DOT regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation.
- Ability to operate an end dump truck effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work independently while following designated routes.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Attention to detail in completing paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands for vehicle operation, and communicate.
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities needed include close vision and depth perception.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
The Class A HAZMAT Driver position offers a competitive salary range, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Work ScheduleTypical hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
