We are in search of a skilled End Dump Truck Driver possessing a HAZMAT endorsement to fulfill a crucial role in our operations.
As an End Dump Truck Driver, your primary duty will involve the safe transportation of automotive materials and recyclable goods between our facilities. This role demands compliance with all traffic laws and a commitment to professionalism. A HAZMAT endorsement is essential, as you will be tasked with the transport of hazardous materials in line with DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate an end dump truck safely and efficiently, in accordance with traffic regulations.
- Transport various automotive materials and recyclable products between facilities.
- Ensure secure loading and unloading of materials, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, performing routine inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
- Follow all company and DOT safety regulations, particularly regarding hazardous materials handling.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team to facilitate timely pickups and deliveries.
- Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in interactions with customers and team members.
- Commit to safety and environmental responsibility in all job functions.
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement.
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial driving, preferably involving hazardous materials.
- Clean driving record with no significant traffic violations in the last 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation.
- Ability to operate an end dump truck competently and safely.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Capability to work independently while following assigned routes and schedules.
- Physical fitness to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands for vehicle operation, reach with arms, and communicate.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
The End Dump HAZMAT Driver position offers a competitive salary range based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage.
ScheduleMonday to Friday, with additional hours every other Saturday.
