Overview
Zymtronix Catalytic Systems Inc is seeking a qualified attorney to support a significant initiative focused on immigration law, particularly concerning Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The successful candidate will engage with DACA beneficiaries to explore their visa options, emphasizing employment-based pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal consultations with DACA recipients and their employers.
- Evaluate cases and provide comprehensive follow-up information; strategize next steps and connect individuals with further legal assistance.
- Develop educational materials, including handouts and webinars, for affected communities.
- Deliver public presentations and webinars to disseminate vital information.
- Provide training and technical support to fellow immigration attorneys.
- Stay updated on immigration law changes and assist in developing resources in response.
- Participate in regular meetings with team members and partner organizations, managing collaborative relationships.
- Assist in preparing and filing immigration petitions for clients as necessary.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to a state bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law, including filing immigration petitions.
- Experience working with DACA and undocumented communities.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated commitment to immigration law.
Compensation
The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and will reflect the part-time nature of the role.
