Join Our Team as a Part-time Legal Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-time Legal Services Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Immigrant Legal Defense Program (ILDP) and the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status Project (SIJS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial screenings and intakes for SIJS eligible youth and facilitate placements with volunteer attorneys.
  • Coordinate and schedule interpretation services for volunteer attorneys.
  • Assist JDC staff in developing trainings, materials, samples and templates for volunteer attorneys.
  • Support JDC attorneys in representing SIJS eligible youth before the Family, Probate and Immigration Courts.
  • Prepare and file forms I-360, I-485, I-765 before USCIS under the supervision of a JDC attorney.
  • Prepare motions and other filings for SIJS eligible youth in removal proceedings.
  • Coordinate self-help application clinics for immigrant youth filing before USCIS.
  • Create and provide materials to immigrant youth to familiarize them with the multi-step process of applying for SIJS.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level of experience.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally competent manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), familiarity with Google Suite.
