Job Title: Service Desk Technician

Job Summary:

The Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and peripherals. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
  • Document and track problems to ensure timely resolution
  • Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate information technology systems operations
  • Perform other duties as required by management
Requirements:
  • At least one to two years of experience in computer support, computer operations, or a similar position
  • An associate degree or its equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Attentive to detail
  • Exceptional skill and accuracy in carefully following instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate computer, printer, computer tape drive, and other business equipment
