Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Manage all accounting and financial requirements for the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Strategic Planning: Develop financial strategies and plans to support the hotel's overall objectives, working closely with the General Manager and other department heads.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and performance metrics; provide insightful analysis and recommendations to management based on financial data.
- Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and hotel policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Develop and implement best practices for financial accounting and control procedures.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Financial Support: Provide financial support and guidance to department heads and managers, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor contracts and relationships, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Proven experience in a Director of Finance position or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ADP, Profit Sword, PAS, SUN, Black Line, OnTrack) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of Hotel or Resort Management Finance experience required.
- Previous controller or Director of Finance experience also required.
