Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Financial Strategies and Operations to join our senior leadership team. This key role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial strategies, managing the financial operations of the museum, and providing exceptional leadership to our finance team.

The Senior Director of Financial Strategies and Operations will be responsible for:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and analyses to ensure the museum's financial stability and growth.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the museum, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, and identify and mitigate financial risks to the museum.
  • Stewardship and Transparency: Ensure the accurate and transparent management of the museum's financial resources, maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Education: An undergraduate degree is required, with an MBA or CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of ten years of broad-based finance experience as a Chief Financial Officer or closely related role, preferably at a nonprofit arts institution.
  • Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with budget and financial analysis, knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting, and expertise in organizational management and planning.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $225,000 - $235,000 per year.
