Job Summary

As a Neurology Nurse at CHI St. Joseph Health, you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex neurological conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and support families through challenging times.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough neurological exams and head-to-toe assessments to identify changes in patient status.
  • Monitor and manage external ventricular drains, intracranial bolts, and lumbar drains, as well as blood pressure and fluid balance.
  • Administer medications as needed and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients' families, helping them navigate complex medical decisions.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that maintains dignity and promotes positive outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • At least 1 year of RN experience (Neurology experience a plus)
  • Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
