Nurse Residency Program Overview

Catholic Health Initiatives offers a comprehensive Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduate nurses during their transition from student to licensed Registered Nurse (RN) role.

The program provides a 12-month transition-to-practice platform, including a comprehensive, evidence-based clinical orientation, to accelerate nursing competency and foster a successful career in healthcare.

As a graduate nurse in our residency program, you will receive ongoing professional and educational support from a team of education specialists, nursing leaders, preceptors, and mentors.

Through in-person and virtually-enhanced education and support, you will develop critical thinking skills, evidence-based decision-making skills, engagement, stress management capabilities, and leadership skills.

Our residency program is open to graduate nurses from an accredited school of nursing with a 3.0 grade point average and less than 12 months of professional nursing experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses, and establishing goals
  • Planning and implementing interventions, and evaluating patient care outcomes

We offer a competitive pay range of $43.46/hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off.

Apply today to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and take the first step towards a rewarding career in nursing.
