About the Role

Corteva Agrisciences is seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Supervisor to join our team in Monroe, LA. As a key member of our research station, you will provide agronomic support and leadership to our breeding team, ensuring the success of our research trials and quality advancement in all crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the station operations lead to set priorities for the agronomy team and direct field contacts for corn, cotton, soybean, and IMPACT testing sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain relationships between station operations lead, phenotyping lead, area agronomists, and breeding scientists to ensure research goals are met to expectations.
  • Develop a general understanding of experimental design, applied agricultural biotechnology, data analysis, and the use of GPS/GIS systems.
  • Assist with seed lab activities, including spreadsheet manipulation, seed sorting, inventorying, and supervision of hourly employees.
  • Participate in regional safety committees and audits, administer center-wide safety programs, and comply with all center and company policies.
  • Operate all types of farm equipment and minimize downtime by correcting issues quickly and staying current with preventive maintenance.
  • Work extended hours and travel overnight during planting and harvest seasons.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with up to 4 years of industry-related experience.
  • Experience with agricultural equipment and on-farm usage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills/experience.
  • Excellent personal interaction skills and ability to work as a team member with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and have a clean driving record.
