At HR Green, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation team. As a technical expert, you will play a key role in creating company standards, leading and mentoring younger staff, and impacting projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technically sound products that meet internal and external client expectations and are delivered on time and on/under budget.
  • Act as a technical expert on assigned projects and lead and mentor younger staff to develop broad technical expertise for the organization.
  • Participate in the creation of firm-wide standards related to traffic engineering and make design decisions that meet the needs of external customers.
  • Pro-actively identify technical, schedule or financial issues and seek resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client.
  • Assist the Client in bidding or contractor selection and monitor construction and supervise field personnel assigned to a task.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering and be professionally registered.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Traffic related projects including studies, analysis, traffic signal design and modeling.
  • Possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and PTOE Certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrate specialty or deep functional or discipline knowledge which positions the Lead Engineer as a respected regional/national expert in their focal area.
  • Experience working with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, VISTRO, Corsim, Microstation/Geopak, SignCAD, and Rodel is desired.
