Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and skilled Architect to oversee all aspects of architectural work, including planning, designing, and supervising the implementation of integration solutions. You will play a crucial role in the design of new systems, modifications, and enhancements from initial concept through to final execution. The objective is to align with client requirements while delivering sustainable, functional, and visually appealing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture and APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.) along with contemporary integration methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to evaluate, design, and implement integration strategies and requirements.
  • Establish and uphold API/Integration standards while providing guidance to cross-functional teams as necessary.
  • Transform complex functional specifications into clear Technical specifications.
  • Analyze, define, and document system requirements, considering its interfaces and dependencies with other systems, while performing coding and/or configuration to fulfill documented needs using various techniques.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and architecture of the solution.
  • Be accountable for delivering the solution as specified by the requirements and architectural guidelines.
  • Identify and assess new technologies and development tools as needed.
  • Work with Domain Architects to evaluate existing assets (frameworks, reference architectures, etc.) to facilitate the transition from current to future architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Information Technology, focusing on designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level application solutions.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in Integration/Middleware, including Solutioning, Developing, and Supporting APIs and/or Integrations using tools such as TIBCO, MuleSoft, IBM MQ, and Data Stage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in solutions architecture with a focus on various Integration standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a strong ability to build relationships, negotiate, collaborate, advocate, govern, and reach consensus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT Application architecture and design methodologies across multiple platforms.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts and designs to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of multiple Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile.
  • A proven team player with the ability to work effectively within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Capability to communicate trade-offs and transactional states with both technical and business teams.
  • Proficiency in making architectural adjustments in a dynamic Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the retail and eCommerce sectors.
  • Certification in Solution Architecture (e.g., IASA CITA-F, CITA-A or higher).
  • Experience implementing Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
