Key Responsibilities in this Position:

Business Development and Client Engagement:
* Assume a principal architect role with extensive expertise in technology portfolios to create robust infrastructure solutions that align with client needs and guide them on Unisys offerings, strategies, designs, and implementation methodologies.
* Act as a senior architect specializing in the development of high-quality infrastructure solutions, providing strategic advice on Unisys solutions, design methodologies, and implementation strategies.
* Perform thorough operational assessments and pinpoint enhancement opportunities through the integration of innovative technologies and products.
* Identify potential avenues for new or follow-on business and assist in the formulation of change orders.
* Lead advisory services, strategic planning initiatives, and business case development within designated Unisys portfolio areas and infrastructure domains, including application/storage platforms, databases, networks, security, and IT governance processes. Mentor junior architects in delivering advisory services.
* Conduct presentations on Unisys Area of Strength portfolio strategies to clients, detailing features, implementation strategies, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits.
* Take a leadership role in leveraging Unisys Portfolio Resources for new business opportunities, managing tasks such as solution proposal management, design, review, risk assessment, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
* Provide technical oversight for estimates generated using standard tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work, and industry-standard estimation techniques.
* Utilize portfolio solution knowledge and resources to spearhead the technical aspects of the bidding process, including design reviews, bid evaluations, portfolio component selection, development case definitions, and system integration strategies.
* Analyze and assess client requirements against portfolio offerings, conducting build vs. buy evaluations.
* Architect comprehensive solutions utilizing appropriate portfolio offerings, ensuring design elements facilitate integration into the client environment. Direct the activities of junior architects involved in business development solution design.
* May refine and optimize infrastructure architectural models and develop architectural prototypes as necessary. Review architectural artifacts and technology plans produced by junior architects.
* Adhere to established SDF processes, architectural artifact requirements, and best practices in architecture.
* Ensure solution integrity throughout the engagement.
* Coordinate architect resources across projects of varying sizes to develop the infrastructure architecture.

Service Delivery Responsibilities:
* Fill a lead architect role with specialized knowledge in technology portfolios to develop or enhance infrastructure solution designs based on Unisys offerings, interfacing with clients on all aspects of design, implementation, testing, and transition of the solution.
* Collaborate with client stakeholders to assess solution requirements and support the management and traceability of requirements throughout the engagement.
* Provide project oversight and serve as a subject matter expert for clients on Portfolio Solution processes, necessary products, product configurations, solution integration, implementation methodologies, resource needs, and timelines.
* Engage with all levels of the client's organization regarding solution implementation progress, technical challenges, best practices, and technical requirements.
* Act as the primary contact for large client portfolio solution implementations, including regional oversight of engagements within the assigned portfolio area.
* Advocate for the adoption of Unisys standard SDF methods, tools, and processes during client engagements.
* May develop and refine infrastructure design models using Unisys standard asset discovery and infrastructure modeling tools. Lead design peer reviews and internal project evaluations.
* Collaborate with client technical teams during requirements definition and implementation to resolve issues.
* Assume accountability for the technology components of the infrastructure solution and the successful execution of the complete solution, which may involve hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, prototyping, and other necessary efforts to ensure project success.
* Maintain and report on implementation status, including changes to risks, estimates, or schedules.
* Work with architect peers to efficiently address design challenges, enhance design quality, and share valuable information.
* May oversee the performance of external service providers or subcontractors.

People Management:
* May assign and review tasks, mentor junior architects, manage performance feedback, and create development plans consistent with the responsibilities of a team leader or project manager.

Qualifications for Success:
* Master's Degree, Ph.D., or equivalent experience with a minimum of 15 years in relevant IT implementation.
* Expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), AI, Data Analytics, Digital Experience (DEX), and infrastructure automation.
* Significant exposure to clients across diverse technologies, industries, and domains.
* Comprehensive understanding of all Unisys portfolio solutions within the assigned Area of Strength, capable of presenting solutions and portfolio strategies to clients at all levels.
* Subject-matter expert level knowledge of at least two Unisys portfolio solutions within the DCTO, AMOS, EUOSS, or Security Areas of Strength, including supporting products, methods, processes, and solution integration.
* Proficient in utilizing portfolio solution materials available in the Portfolio Center, including guides, blueprints, work breakdown structures, sales and delivery methods, estimation tools, and proposal templates.
* Broad understanding of at least two of the following technology areas: Server Operating Systems, Database/Information Management, Networks, Security, Desktop Technology, Virtualization (Server, Desktop, and Application), Infrastructure and Device Monitoring, Mobility Solutions, and Application Platforms/Application Integration.
* Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with all levels of internal and client project teams.
* Advanced proficiency in the Unisys Services and Solutions Delivery Framework (SDF) and in-depth knowledge of process frameworks such as CMMI.
* Extensive experience in infrastructure and technology-related areas of the Unisys Solution Portfolio.
* Well-versed in applicable industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, CoBIT, ISO, TOGAF, and FEAF.
* Understanding of datacenter operations and infrastructure implementation methodologies.
* Experience in implementation and presales roles in two or more related positions such as system analyst, implementer, integrator, test analyst, system administrator, tool specialist, team leader, and/or architect.
* Familiarity with project management concepts, including project scheduling, risk management, estimation (infrastructure estimation/IT Service Management estimation), Work Breakdown Structures, requirements management/traceability, and Change Management.
