About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef-Buffet to join our culinary team at L'Auberge Casino Hotel Baton Rouge. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and implement menu planning, including menu engineering and cost control.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety, and sanitation.
- Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, menu innovations, and culinary techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Proven track record of menu planning, cost control, and kitchen operations management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
