Business Development Specialist

At Intertape Polymer Group (IPG), we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with customers, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the market and application expert for assigned products, providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and net CM$ goals, working closely with Territory Managers and Director of Sales.
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities, managing the sales cycle from initial contact to close.
- Collaborate with distributors to identify complex end-user opportunities and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
- Train distributor sales reps on product features, benefits, and application solutions.
- Provide guidance and expertise in client meetings, ensuring effective communication of IPG value and solutions.
- Act as a field feedback loop for product development, providing insights and recommendations to improve products and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 2 years of business development or sales experience in a related field, preferably in industrial or packaging sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to travel independently, both domestically and internationally.
