Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate services and support for individuals, including intake assessments, scheduling, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Advocate for individuals in court proceedings as part of the Judicial Intervention and Diversion Compliance Program.
  • Build community partnerships to enhance available resources for the Program and improve access to community, physical, and mental health services.
  • Participate in training, team, and company meetings to build knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Take ownership of your own behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating the company's C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).

Requirements
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, behavioral science, social services, or related discipline, or four years of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • A current driver's license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is required. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
