Key Responsibilities
  1. Role Modeling and Positive Interactions: Act as a positive influence and encourage individuals to develop healthy relationships with others.
  2. Supporting Positive Choices: Collaborate with individuals to promote self-advocacy and independence in their daily lives.
  3. Program Planning and Implementation: Familiarize yourself with the program plan for each individual and work to implement strategies that support their goals and objectives.
  4. Behavioral Support: Understand and implement behavior modification techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  5. Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including grooming and personal hygiene.
  6. Medication Administration and Monitoring: Assist with medication administration and ensure proper documentation.
  7. Communication and Teamwork: Maintain open lines of communication with individuals, staff members, and administrators to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  8. Housekeeping and Meal Preparation: Assist with household chores and meal preparation as assigned.
  9. Recreational Activities: Participate in recreational activities with individuals in a variety of settings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
