Instructional Support Specialist

Under the supervision of a certified educator, the Instructional Support Specialist tutors and assists students with special needs in a classroom or other learning environment, and performs a variety of supportive duties for teachers.
This is an on-call, as-needed position, working 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with special needs
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
- Monitor and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Two years of college coursework or an Associate's degree
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Pass a District exam
- Provide proof of a negative TB test and fingerprint clearance
Applicants will be selected based on their qualifications and experience. Selected candidates will be required to provide documentation verifying their identity and authorization to work in the United States.
