Job Summary

Dreamforce Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Advanced Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT networks and infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Analysis: Perform technical analysis of current IT networks and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and design new solutions.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of new IT projects and initiatives.
  • Requirements Definition: Gather and define business, functional, and technical requirements for IT projects.
  • Architecture and Design: Create conceptual and detailed architecture/designs, detailed specifications, and implementation plans for IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Implementation and Support: Install, configure, integrate, and test IT infrastructure components/systems, and provide support and transition knowledge to operations and maintenance staff.
  • Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation and training materials for IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Research and Review: Perform product/system research and review, and evaluate proposals submitted in response to issued RFI/RFP/IFBs.
  • Disaster Recovery: Support the development of disaster recovery plans and ensure continuity of planned technologies.
  • Project Management: Assist the DHHS Project Manager with technical work breakdown structures, technical cost estimation, and issue and risk management.

Requirements

  • Project Management Methodology: Understanding and experience with project management methodology.
  • Distributed Computing: In-depth understanding of distributed computing using N-tier, distributed processing, client/server, and Internet/intranet technologies.
  • Network Infrastructures: In-depth knowledge of network infrastructures, virtualization, LANs; VLANs; WANs; WLANs; SANs; RTLS; VPN; TCP/IP; session initiation protocol (SIP); Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2); videoconferencing; firewalls, voice, data and unified communications (UCS); and programming techniques.
  • COTS and Customized Enterprise Networks: Experience with the implementation of both COTS and customized enterprise networks.
  • Technical and Non-Technical Solutions: Experience developing technical and non-technical solutions for supporting business process reengineering.
  • Large-Scale Projects: Experience with large-scale projects crossing myriad functional areas using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Liaison between Business and Technical Staff: Experience acting as liaison between business and technical staff.
  • Assessment Tools: Experience with developing/reviewing assessment tools.
  • Impact Technical Analysis: Experience with performing impact technical analysis.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and interviewing/facilitation skills.
  • Technical Documentation: Able to produce accurate and thorough technical documentation.
  • Technical Requirements: Experience with developing and reviewing technical requirements, designs, and implementation plans.
  • Technical Lead Experience: The Advanced Technology Specialist must have Technical Lead experience on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure implementation projects.
  • Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, Certified Cisco Specialist or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: Eight (8) years experience is the minimum preferred for the proposed Advanced Technology Specialist.
