Information Security Solutions Architect

Litehouse is in search of a skilled and strategic Information Security Solutions Architect to become a part of our dynamic team. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.
The primary responsibility of this role is to devise and architect security frameworks and capabilities that empower the organization to effectively identify, safeguard, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The architect will establish and articulate security requirements through risk assessments, threat modeling, and the evaluation of existing systems. Additionally, the role involves formulating security integration strategies to enhance current infrastructure and to seamlessly incorporate future solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine assessments and oversee security controls within the organization's computing environment, including networks, servers, storage, and end-user devices, to identify vulnerabilities and ensure security practices are functioning as intended. This includes monitoring network traffic and various infrastructure systems.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and audits of systems, networks, devices, and applications to ensure adherence to security policies and best practices. Collaborate with team members and third-party vendors to evaluate vendor-related risks.
- Develop and revise security policies, standards, and procedures to maintain operational security across all platforms and services.
- Analyze system logs, SIEM tools, and network traffic for any unusual or suspicious activities, providing interpretations and recommendations for mitigation. Keep the security manager informed of significant security events.
- Collaborate closely with system and network administrators to enhance the security of devices, systems, applications, and accounts. Provide support in securing and monitoring firewalls, intrusion detection systems, switches, and routers. Manage and oversee security tools across the organization.
- Assist in conducting cyber-security awareness training for employees.
- Engage with cybersecurity partners to perform risk and vulnerability assessments aimed at identifying and mitigating security threats.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, managing remediation efforts and gathering relevant information for forensic analysis. Investigate and resolve security breaches, providing post-incident analysis to highlight issues and potential solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required, or equivalent education and experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, system administration, and managing security infrastructure is essential.
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner & CompTIA Security+ Certification (CASP) is required upon hire.
- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional SSCP, or other equivalent certifications must be obtained within one year.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess security requirements and align them with appropriate security controls.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of network, system, and application security, including firewalls and endpoint security.
- Comprehensive understanding of security risk management, IT security, and infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines, demonstrating excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Proven capability to make critical decisions under pressure and guide teams through complex incident response scenarios.
