Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

As an Operations Supervisor at Levi Strauss & Co., you will be responsible for leading a team of 20 to 80 associates in traditional warehouse activities. Your primary focus will be on managing the flow of work, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of tasks, and promoting a culture of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise non-exempt employees to achieve daily performance requirements.
  • Administer policies and procedures within legal guidelines, coaching work groups to adapt to new ways of performing work.
  • Manage costs by tracking expenses against budget, providing input into projected plans, and conducting cost analysis.
  • Manage production workflow, utilizing multi-warehouse systems to predict and direct workflow.
  • Facilitate the setting of objectives and strategies, daily tactical planning, budgeting, and workforce requirements.
  • Develop performance measures for work groups and clarify inputs and outputs for continuous improvements.
  • Schedule work for daily activities to maximize available resources.

Requirements:

Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and provide feedback to others.

Conflict Resolution: Ability to resolve conflicts in a win-win situation, understanding the variety of experiences and values within the work group.

Leadership: Genuine intent to foster learning and development, promoting a high-performance team and motivating work group towards goal achievement.

Technical: Understanding of the order fulfillment process, facility policies, and intermediate PC skills, with the ability to learn and understand warehouse systems.

Coaching/Counseling: Develops a positive working environment, promoting open and honest communications and trust among work group members.

Problem Solving: Ability to understand a situation, break it apart, and generate solutions, training and leading work group in problem-solving activities.

Change Orientation: Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support organizational goals, appreciating new and different perspectives.

Planning: Ability to forecast future production/operational demands, ensuring a plan of action is developed to support organizational goals.

Qualifications: Two or three years of supervision experience, or B.A./B.S. level of education, or other related equivalent work experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
